Nondug with wonderful manufacturing flaw.  The Confederacy did not have the luxury of discarding buttons that were not perfect due to a shortage of metal.  There is no upgrade to this great local button.

Nondug cuff button that is postwar production but the backmark is most likely a war production back placed on a postwar face.  98% gilt with no damage.

Backmark:  Blank with depressed channel, most likely a Scovill produced button with the backmark left blank to hide manufacturers identity.  War time production!!

Nondug with nice mellow patina, no damage.  90% gilt with only minor wear on high points and border.  This button had Civil War usage.
